OSHA (and Washington’s WISHA) doesn’t issue a specific "trainer license," but they do require trainers to have the knowledge, training, and experience to evaluate others. Our program provides the formal training and knowledge component. You should already be an experienced operator on the equipment used at your facility.
Like operator certification, instructor credentials should be evaluated or refreshed every three years to stay current with any changes in OSHA 1910.178 standards or new equipment technology.
While our February open enrollment class in Seattle/Tacoma is the fastest way to get certified, we also offer on-site training. We can bring the entire program to your facility for groups of 2 or more, saving you travel time and allowing us to customize the training to your specific environment.
Yes. The principles of the "Train the Trainer" program apply to sit-down riders, stand-up reach trucks, pallet jacks, and more. We teach your instructor how to evaluate operators on any specific "type" of equipment your company uses.
Absolutely. Our curriculum is specifically designed to meet and exceed both federal OSHA and Washington State (WISHA) WAC 296-863 requirements.
